Canadian Dream, How It Started

Never have I imagine myself before that I will be living in a foreign country because when I was little it was instilled in my mind that  I should serve my country and my fellowmen. Thus, I won't leave the country.

Came June 2016, I forgot the exact date but it was one Saturday afternoon. Out of nowhere, I just asked Fritz why not we will migrate to other country? He was little bit surprised knowing my stand before. But later on he liked the idea too, for the better future for our three little kiddos and for our dream as a couple.

As husband and wife, we really planned to start serving on a mission at the age of 55 or maybe a little over. That early because we want to serve on a proselyting mission and later on as we got older on a Temple. But as we evaluate with our current financial status, our retirement fund won't be sufficient enough to fund us on a series of mission. Maybe for the first 2 or 3 mission.

At first, we considered 3 countries namely  New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Then our  hearts more inclined to Canada.

After that, we didn't talk about it anymore not until I came back from my 3 day trip from Manila on July 9, 2017. While I was away in a business trip ( well it's much like a vacation with friends but all expense paid by the company), Fritz do his assignment. He do all the research about the country and the possible ways we can migrate.

In the coming days, I will be talking much on our journey as a family to the Land of Maple Leaf.
